Application
How do I apply CYBERBRITE?
The one rule: CYBERBRITE only works while it is wet, and only if you wipe dissolved
oxidation onto a clean cloth. Do not wipe on and walk away, and do not buff it dry.
Before you start: Wash thoroughly and dry completely. Apply in shade, out of direct sun, above
45°F (7°C). CYBERBRITE must contact bare stainless. Do not use on ceramic-coated or sealed
trucks until the coating is removed. Work in sections (driver · passenger · front · rear). Wear the
included gloves and safety glasses. Have extra clean microfibers ready.
One section at a time:
- Saturate a clean microfiber (damp through, not dripping).
- Lay down a continuous wet film with light pressure (edges, body lines, around trim).
- Do not walk away — re-wipe immediately; add product as the film thins.
- Leave it on a minimum of 2 minutes and a maximum of 5 minutes, keeping it wet the
- whole time. Re-wipe from the start with a clean face of the cloth.Gray/black on the cloth means oxidation is coming off — switch cloths when loaded.
- Keep working wet within that window until a clean cloth comes away clean. Touch up missed spots while still wet; do not let a finished section dry before rinse.
- Pressure-rinse thoroughly and dry immediately (demineralized water best). No pressure rinse: mild detergent wash, rinse, dry quickly. Door jambs: after treating, hand-wash with mild detergent, rinse, and dry.
First-time trucks: plan on two wet passes per section; heavy staining may need a second bottle

What do I do before applying?
Wash thoroughly (mild detergent or pressure-wand) and dry completely. Apply only in the shade,
out of direct sun, above 45°F (7°C). CYBERBRITE must contact bare stainless. Waxes,
waterless-wash films, and glass-cleaner residue can block it — remove those films first so the
product hits bare metal. Work in sections so the surface stays wet, especially in low humidity or
above 90°F.
How long do I leave CYBERBRITE on during application?
Leave it on a minimum of 2 minutes and a maximum of 5 minutes, and keep it wet the whole
time. Re-wipe with a clean cloth as you work. Leave product on until the final rinse of your
sections, then rinse and dry.Can I use CYBERBRITE on door jambs?
Yes. Treat the door jambs with CYBERBRITE, then hand-wash with mild detergent, rinse,
and dry (you usually can’t pressure-wash jambs the same way as the body).
What temperature and weather should I apply in?
Shade only — out of direct sun — and above 45°F (7°C). Keep the surface wet. Above 90°F or
in sun/low humidity, split into smaller sections (about 3–4) so it does not dry on the panel.
Can I apply in the garage, then drive to a car wash to rinse?
Yes. Gary has done that himself. Keep the product on until you rinse; try not to let panels dry out
on a hot drive.
The towel is coming away greenish or grey. Did I mess up?
That’s good — the towel is picking up dissolved oxidation. Keep applying with a clean towel
until it wipes clean. Don’t reuse a loaded towel or you’ll redeposit contamination. Later kits use
a lighter cloth so you can see the dirt.
My truck looks streaky or blotchy after CYBERBRITE. What should I do?
Usually the product didn’t get even contact with bare stainless, or a dirty towel redeposited
oxidation. Re-apply in the shade, above 45°F. Leave CYBERBRITE on a minimum of 2 minutes,
5 minutes maximum, keeping the area wet. Use a clean microfiber every pass. Don’t rinse
between coats — put the next coat over the first. Pressure-rinse thoroughly at the end and dry
right away. If wax, ceramic, or another sealant is still on the truck, strip that film first so
CYBERBRITE can hit bare metal.

Coverage
How much CYBERBRITE is needed for a first-time application?
One 12 oz bottle is enough for about 2 generous applications, with a little left over after a typical
initial application. Heavy first jobs (dirty / heavily oxidized) can take two bottles. Site: “Heavy
staining may require two bottles.” Later applications usually need less (often one bottle covers
two apps). How much does it cost, and what’s in the box?
$28.95 for a 12 oz bottle. Included: 2 microfiber towels, 2 pairs of nitrile gloves, and safety
glasses. Heavy staining may require two bottles. Free shipping on orders of 3 or more. (Bottle-
only is also listed on the site at $24.95.)
How often do I reapply, and how long does passivation last?
The passivated nano-layer lasts 4 to 6 months based on environmental conditions. Gary retreats
his own demo truck about every 4 months. After the heavy first restoration, later apps are usually
a quick one- or two-pass. Between apps: mild soap as Tesla directs, or a cheap brushless/drive-
through wash when dirty, then dry. Fingerprints: undiluted 99% IPA.
New truck — apply now or wait for oxidation?
Apply on new trucks. Manufacturing and finishing leave microscopic contamination that
washing won’t remove — that’s why trucks start oxidizing after delivery. CYBERBRITE
removes that and lets chromium oxide form. First application still uses more product than later
ones.
What’s the shelf life if I buy a 3-pack?
It shouldn’t degrade. Gary has seen the concentrate hold around 2 years and expects many years.
Store cool and dry, tightly closed (away from direct sun). If you think a bottle weakened, they
replace it free. See also the Satisfaction Guarantee / return policy below.

Can I use CYBERBRITE on a ceramic-coated or sealed truck?
Not while the ceramic, sealant, or wax is still on. CYBERBRITE must contact bare stainless. Do
not use on Cybertrucks that have been ceramic-coated or treated with other sealants. Strip the
coating/film completely first, then apply. Blotchy results often mean a coating is blocking
contact.
Can I ceramic-coat after CYBERBRITE?
Yes. It is advantageous to use CYBERBRITE before any protective coating because it leaves the
stainless steel in a raw, clean state that is perfectly prepared for the protective coating. Wait about
3 days of air exposure so passivation can fully develop, then apply ceramic if you want — that
seals in the protection. Don’t use CYBERBRITE over an existing protective coating — strip that
first so it hits bare metal. If you ceramic after, strip the coating completely before the next
CYBERBRITE — an intact ceramic will significantly reduce or largely halt continual natural
passivation. Gary does not ceramic his own truck (he needs to show CYBERBRITE-only
results) and is not familiar with ceramic coatings in depth.
If I ceramic after CYBERBRITE, how do I treat the truck next time?
Strip the ceramic completely before the next CYBERBRITE. CYBERBRITE has to hit bare
stainless. An intact coating blocks contact and will significantly reduce or largely halt continual
natural passivation.
Wrap or PPF — before, after, or instead?
Wrap / PPF covers the metal. CYBERBRITE restores and passivates bare stainless. If you wrap
anyway: clean to bare stainless with CYBERBRITE first — don’t trap oxidation under film.
Wrapped truck — can I treat door jambs / around PPF edges?
Not specifically tested on every PPF. Gary’s experience: it is safe on plastic. “If it were my truck,
knowing what I know, I wouldn’t worry about the PPF.” Wipe overspray; don’t soak the film.
One bottle should cover jambs + under the frunk lid.
Detailer put PPF over a bad polish — now it looks stained under the film.
What now?
The wrap sealed in microscopic contamination. The wrap must be removed, destain/passivate the
bare stainless with CYBERBRITE, then rewrap if you still want film.Care & limits
Does Cybertruck stainless steel rust?
The brown, orange, or dull look owners notice is usually surface contamination — free iron / rail
dust, salt, bugs, sap — not the 30XX exoskeleton rusting through. CYBERBRITE is made to
dissolve that contamination and help restore the protective chromium-oxide (passive) layer.
Will CYBERBRITE prevent fingerprints?
No. CYBERBRITE will not prevent fingerprints (product page). Fingerprints can still show up;
wipe with undiluted 99% isopropyl alcohol around the door tops. According to independent
reviews (Kobra Told Ya on YouTube), CYBERBRITE makes fingerprints easier to remove.
Is it safe on plastic trim, glass, and Foundation / Beast logos?
Safe for plastic trim, glass, and Foundation/Beast logos. Formulated only for 30XX stainless —
not intended as a trim, tonneau, or bed cleaner. Brief incidental contact plus prompt rinse/
pressure-wash showed no damage in Gary’s tests. Logos: will not degrade the Foundation logo.
Repeated use on plastic is at owner’s risk.
Will it fill rust pits or magnetic-sticker damage?
It can restore the color of the original finish but will not fill or smooth pits. Pitting needs
stainless refinishing. Cybertruck grit isn’t uniform, so blending pits is not a CYBERBRITE job.
Does it work on polished / mirror finishes?
CYBERBRITE will work on all stainless steel finishes. Watch state laws on mirror vehicles.
What do I wash with between applications?
Mild soap as Tesla directs. Gary uses a cheap brushless/drive-through wash when dirty, then
dries. Fingerprints: 99% IPA. Don’t coat the truck with wax or water-beading films if you want
the next CYBERBRITE to hit bare stainless.
Can I use Windex / ammonia glass cleaner on the stainless for fingerprints?
Skip ammonia-based Windex on the stainless. Repeated ammonia can gradually degrade the
passive layer. Use undiluted 99% isopropyl alcohol for fingerprints. 70% can work if it doesn’t
leave a residue; 99% evaporates better.CYBERBRITE vs Bar Keepers Friend?
Both can remove oxidation. BKF is oxalic acid plus mild abrasives and can partially strip the
passive layer. CYBERBRITE chemically dissolves oxidation and passivates — no abrasive
elements to damage the stainless steel chromium-oxide protective layer. That’s why Gary claims
4–6 months between apps vs ongoing BKF maintenance. BKF is not a substitute for passivation.
Safety
What are the safety warnings?
Causes skin and eye irritation. Harmful if swallowed. Wear the included safety glasses and nitrile
gloves. Use in a well-ventilated area. Keep out of reach of children. Avoid contact with eyes,
skin, and clothing. Wash with soap and water after handling. Eyes: rinse with water several
minutes. Skin: wash with plenty of water. Swallowed: rinse mouth and call poison control or a
doctor if you feel unwell. SDS: cyberbrite1.com/pages/safety-data-sheet.
Is it abrasive? Will it hurt the stainless?
No abrasive elements to damage the stainless steel chromium oxide protective layer. Liquid
chemical dissolve. PPE (gloves/glasses) is in the kit as convenience — apply as directed.
Can I spray it?
No. Hand-wipe only. Spray bottles, anything that could atomize the product could be hazardous
and should not be used. DO NOT apply using a spray bottle.
